EPA has shared Final Data Summary Report (DSR) for the Supplemental Characterization of Shallow Groundwater Discharge Study for the Newtown Creek Site linked here and the following note:

“The DSR is a presentation of analytical data from the Lateral Groundwater Study conducted directly by EPA from September 2022 to March 2024. The data report has been extensively reviewed by EPA, the NCG, and NYCDEP, as well as NYSDEC. Although the DSR does not contain any type of data interpretation, the NCRG (which stands for Newtown Creek Remediation Group, is made up of ExxonMobil, National Grid, PDRC, and NYCDEP, and which replaces the former NCG) will prepare a Data Evaluation Report (DER) for EPA’s review in the future; the DER will then be used to help develop remedial alternatives for the rest of the site.  At this point EPA is sharing the DSR with the CAG for informational purposes and to supplement information provided to the community during the June 2025 CAG meeting.”
